Paramount+ has unveiled the official trailer for the return of Taylor Sheridan’s spy thriller drama series “Lioness” on October 27th. The series has dropped the “Special Ops” part of the title from the first season.
In the second season, the CIA’s fight against terror moves closer to home, Joe (Nicole Kidman), Kaitlyn (Zoe Saldaña), and CIA Deputy Director Byron (Michael Kelly) enlist a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat.
With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she has made as the leader of the Lioness program.
The series also stars Morgan Freeman as U.S. Secretary of the State Edwin Mullins along with Laysla De Oliveira as Sergeant Cruz Manuelos, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner as Bobby, Dave Annable as Neil, LaMonica Garrett as Tucker, and James Jordan as Two Cups.
Sheridan executive produces the series alongside Saldaña, Kidman, Wagner, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox.
Nearly six million total viewers checked in on the show in its first week across Paramount+ globally and via the Paramount Network linear premiere.
A renewal order was handed out in May with this season rapidly pushed into production and hitting the screen incredibly fast.
