By Jon Bernthal (“The Bear,” “The Punisher”) and Pablo Schreiber (“Halo,” “The Wire”) will join Tessa Thompson in the six-episode series “His & Hers” at Netflix. Filming is set to begin this Fall.
Thompson plays Anna, a newscaster who lives in haunting reclusivity in the sweltering heat of Atlanta and is fading away from her friends and career as a journalist.
When she overhears about a murder in Dahlonega, the sleepy town where she grew up, she is snapped back to life, doggedly pursuing the case in search of answers.
Bernthal plays Jack Harper, a Sheriff’s Office detective who lost his last job and is now working in his small hometown of Dahlonega. He’s also Anna’s estranged husband.
He is deeply troubled by the murder case he’s just picked up and strangely suspicious of Anna’s involvement.
Schreiber will portray Richard, one of the best cameramen at Anna’s workplace and husband to the network’s hot new anchor Lexy Jones who took Anna’s old job.
The limited series hails from William Oldroyd, Dee Johnson and Bill Dubuque who all write and executive produce with Johnson serving as showrunner and Dubuque directs the premiere.
