Microsoft is expected to show off a bunch of its new “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” video game at Gamescom Opening Night Live tomorrow, and ahead of that an interesting new report has emerged.
Industry insider Nate the Hate, who has a good track record with these sort of things, is claiming that while the Bethesda title will hit PC and Xbox Series X/S in December, it will be only with a timed exclusive window.
After that window expires, the title will come to PlayStation 5 and they expect that version will be in “the first half of 2025” – thus likely a six month window.
This fits in with reports last week that Microsoft is preparing to announce plans to bring another big Xbox exclusive to PS5 with ‘Great Circle’ being the likeliest possibility.
MachineGames (“Wolfenstein: The New Order”) is developing the title which was originally planned as a multiplatform console release before shifting to an Xbox and PC exclusive.
Either way, if it hits PS5 it will be a full price title whereas on Xbox/PC it’s available Day One with a Game Pass subscription.
Xbox brought several previous Xbox exclusives to PlayStation & Switch earlier this year – most notably “Sea of Thieves” and “Hi-Fi Rush” which have sold well on the platform.
