The Marvel panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic Con kicked off with a “Deadpool” music number and then a look at the first of three films being a part of the panel – “Captain America: Brave New World”.
The cast was there for the film with Feige calling it a return to the grounded aspects of the “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” film.
Giancarlo Esposito’s villainous role has been revealed as Sidewinder, the king of the secretive Serpent Society in the film.
A clip shown to the crowd has Harrison Ford’s President Ross talking about the emergence of the Celestial Tiamut from the Earth in “Eternals”.
In fact, it revealed Tiamut’s remains are how adamantium will be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe – they’re made out of it with a ‘Celestial Island Summit’ held there.
The clip also revealed that Harrison Ford turns into Red Hulk whilst on a podium in front of the White House. Ford himself showed up on stage doing Hulk-like moves.
Ford added: “I’m proud to become a member of the Marvel universe. I’ve been watching fantastic actors having a good time and I wanted a piece of that.” He also adds he would’ve grown the moustache if he had been asked.
Tim Blake Nelson briefly talked about his return as The Leader, saying: “I can’t say much. No spoilers, I want them to bring me back” which suggests he could go on beyond this film.
“Captain America: Brave New World” is set to open February 14th 2025.
