Netflix has set a September 19th premiere date for Zack Snyder’s “Twilight of the Gods,” a Norse mythology-inspired 2D animated action epic series. A date announcement trailer has also been released.
The voice cast list includes John Noble as Odin, Pilou Asbæk as Thor, Sylvia Hoeks as Sigrid, Paterson Joseph as Loki, Rahul Kohli as Egill, Lauren Cohen as Inge, Corey Stoll as Hrafnkel, Jamie Chung as Hel, Kristofer Hivju as Andvari, Stuart Martin as Leif, Peter Stormare as Ulfr and Jamie Clayton as The Seid-Kona.
In a mythical world of great battles, great deeds and great despair, Leif, a mortal King, is saved on the battlefield by Sigrid, an iron-willed warrior with whom he falls in love.
On their wedding night, Sigrid and Leif survive a wrath of terror from Thor, which sets them – and a crew of crusaders – on an against all odds and merciless mission for vengeance.
This heroic story of love, loss and revenge, is a journey to Hell and beyond… across fantastical lands, battlefields fierce and bloody, and wars waged against Gods and demons.
Snyder co-created the series and directs two episodes. Jay Olivia and Eric Carrasco also created the series, with Olivia directing other episodes. Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller executive produce.
