Sabrina Impacciatore (“The White Lotus,” “Call My Agent”) and Domhnall Gleeson (“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”) have reportedly been cast in the new “The Office” revival for NBC.
They mark the first two actors to join the ensemble comedy which is being dubbed a new iteration of the property. As previously reported, the series that will be set in the same universe as the former NBC hit starring Steve Carell and John Krasinski.
Creator Greg Daniels opened up a development room in early January to explore the new series and recently set Michael Koman (“Nathan for You”) to co-create the project.
Universal Television is producing the project with story and character specifics under wraps. Additionally a platform for the series has not yet been determined.
Peacock currently remains the exclusive streaming home for the original “The Office” with the streamer paying millions to secure the rights back from Netflix.
Gleeson recently starred with Carell in the just wrapped FX limited series “The Patient” and will join Krasinski in the film “Fountain of Youth” which shoots shortly.
