IMAX has released a new three-minute special look at “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” via their YouTube account.
The clip focuses heavily on a scene featured in the trailers in which apes are pursuing a young human woman (played by Witcher’s Freya Allan) through long grass and she runs towards kindly lead character Noa (Owen Teague).
Wes Ball helms the new entry set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign. Apes are the dominant species living harmoniously with one another and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows.
As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape will undertake a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.
The cast includes Owen Teague as Noa, Freya Allan as Mae, Kevin Durand as Proximus Caesar, Peter Macon as Raka, Travis Jeffery as Anaya, Lydia Peckham as Soona, and Neil Sandilands as Koro.
William H. Macy, Eka Darville, Ras-Samuel Weld A’abzgi, Sara Wiseman, and Dichen Lachman also star in the film which releases in United States theaters and IMAX on May 10th.
