“The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” unsurprisingly dominated the international box-office in its second weekend, pulling in $153 million worldwide and bringing the film’s global total to $629 million by the end of its second weekend.

$69 million of that was the domestic haul this weekend, and the film is currently pacing just 13% behind its predecessor at the same point in time with $308 million domestically. Overseas, its total is up to $321 million.

‘Galaxy’ is now the third-highest-grossing film based on a video game of all time globally, with the movie looking likely to pass $1 billion by the time it’s finished its theatrical run.

“Project Hail Mary” continues strongly with a further $55 million worldwide, with $24.5 million of that domestic. Its global total now stands at $511 million and now stands a chance of taking on MGM’s Bond film “Quantum of Solace” ($590M) and possibly “The Martian” ($631M) before leaving cinemas.

The Zendaya and Robert Pattinson-led “The Drama” took a further $22.7 million worldwide, $8.7 million from domestic, bringing its global cume to $62.1 million. Newcomer “You, Me & Tuscany” landed $8 million domestically and $1.1 million overseas for a $9.1 million total.

“Hoppers” is finishing up its run, taking $11.5 million worldwide in its sixth weekend, $4.1 million of that domestically. Domestically, the horror film “Faces of Death” is coming in now at $1.7 million while “Exit 8” is at $1.4 million at seventh and eighth place respectively.
