A couple of years ago, there was something of a Hollywood mystery as everyone tried to figure out who Rebecca Ferguson was talking about when she talked about an obnoxious male co-star in a movie. It was never solved.
Now, another story of something similar has come out. This time, it is Olivia Munn telling the story. She was talking on The Drew Barrymore Show, and this was reported via the ever-reliable Dark Horizons.
Again, there were no names, but the sequence in question featured Munn and her male co-star fighting side by side in a bunker. She was due to save the man from an enemy he hadn’t seen, and apparently, this caused the issue:
“There have been a few times where I’ve been filming something, and my character was either like CIA, or a cop, or something, and there’s been scenes where my character has been the one to save the other character.
If you read the script, it was that he was guarding his side, I was guarding my side, then we switch sides and then there’s a guy that was coming for him [who] was gonna shoot him in the back, so I shoot him.
And then we’re about to shoot and, somehow, I guess he didn’t read the script, and in that moment, he realised, ‘Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. She can’t save me. No, no. She can’t save me.’”
She went on to say that this halted production for a period, and the star in question argued with the director. Eventually, he calmed down with some spin being put around how the act would be portrayed.
The search is now on through Munn’s filmography to identify the scene in question. Outposters… start your speculating!
