When her latest job ends and faces no place to live and dwindling funds, Anna finds herself in a hotel bar with Matteo (Lorenzo de Moor) who tells her of his villa in Tuscany that he is never able to see due to his hectic work travels around the world.
This is the setup for You Me & Tuscany”, which is a charming and fun if very predictable romantic comedy. Anna uses an unused ticket she had booked to Tuscany and finds herself unable to find a room due to a festival in town. Desperate; Anna finds a key to Matteo’s villa and sets up there. The plan seems to go find until Matteo’s mother and Grandmother arrive and a comedy of errors results as they are convinced Anna is engaged to Matteo thanks in large part to Anna trying on a ring that she found.
Complications arise when Anna is embraced by the extended family and learns that Matteo shunned the family business and ventured out into the world abruptly. The arrival of Anna has the family convinced that Matteo is about to return.
There is also the matter of the adopted brother Michael (Rege- Jean Page), who soon becomes interested in Anna but keeps his distance due to his belief she is about to marry.
Things become even more complicated as Anna finds getting out of the situation she has created has become more complicated with each passing day.
The movie is fun and charming even if you know exactly where the story is going to go. There are some scene stealing moments from the supporting characters from Anna’s friend to a sympathetic driver who give the movie an added sense of humor and charm.
The end result is a fun and charming film that gives audiences easy to enjoy characters, humor, and a dash of romance in an easy to enjoy package.
