Hemsworth Set To Film “Extraction 3” This Year

It’s official, a third film in the “Extraction” series is on the way with filming to begin this Summer.

Netflix confirmed the news on its official site with Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, and Golshifteh Farahani all confirmed to reprise their roles while Sam Hargrave is back as director.

Anthony Russo and Joe Russo’s AGBO will once again produce the film which will see a release sometime in 2027 and follow on from the 2020 first film and 2023 sequel.

Hemsworth’s former black ops mercenary Tyler Rake returns for the feature, but plot specifics are under wraps. David Weil is on board to write the screenplay.

Filming will take place primarily in Sydney, Australia along with additional production in parts of Europe.

Both previous films landed on Netflix’s Most Popular English Films list, with both hitting No. 1 on the Global Top 10.
