A24 has unveiled the official trailer for actress/filmmaker Olivia Wilde’s star-studded comedy “The Invite”.
Wilde and Seth Rogen play Angela and Joe, a couple whose marriage is on thin ice.
When they invite their enigmatic upstairs neighbours (Edward Norton, Penelope Cruz) for a dinner party, the night spirals into unexpected places. Have they reignited the spark or lit the match that burns it all down.
Rashida Jones and Will McCormack penned the script, which is inspired by Cesc Gay’s 2020’s Spanish movie “The People Upstairs”.
The film had its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival where it launched to strong reviews and was one of the most talked about deals of the fest. It is slated to hit cinemas on June 26th.
Ben Browning, Megan Ellison and David Permut produce.
