IFC has premiered an official trailer for the action thriller comedy “Over Your Dead Body” led by Samara Weaving (“Ready or Not”) and Jason Segel (“Shrinking”) which opens in cinemas April 24th.
The story follows a dysfunctional and estranged married couple who retreat to a secluded cabin to repair their relationship, but each secretly plots to murder the other.
Cue a bunch of darkly comedic, violent action between not just the pair but other characters played by vets like Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle, and Keith Jardine.
Former “Saturday Night Live” alum Jorma Taccone, who directed “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping” and “MacGruber,” directs this project from a script by Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney.
Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Aram Tertzakian, Nick Spicer, Guy Danella, and Lee Kim produce with 87North (“John Wick,” “Nobody”), helping handle the action.
The 105-minute film recently screened at SXSW and sits at a 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.
