HBO has announced plans to air a behind-the-scenes special this weekend for their upcoming “Harry Potter” TV series.

Titled “Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magic,” the special offers an in-depth look at the making of the first season of the series, with that season to be based on J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” novel.

A trailer for the special is out and can be seen below. Interviews with actors like John Lithgow and Paapa Essiedu are included, while Hagrid actor Nick Frost narrates the special.

The synopsis is as follows: “It’s been 25 years since audiences first walked the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. Now, this exclusive special offers an inside look at the epic scale and meticulous care behind HBO’s new Harry Potter series — told through the lens of the artists, craftspeople, and technicians bringing J.K. Rowling’s beloved books to life for a new generation.

Featuring interviews with members of the casting, production design, costume design, and creature effects teams, the special chronicles the extensive process behind finding our new Harry, Ron, and Hermione — while celebrating the awe-inspiring commitment to detail and immense talent that has come together to fill out this extraordinary world.”

The special follows on from the release of the show’s first trailer last week which broke HBO records, pulling in more than 277 million organic views across platforms in its first 48 hours – the most-watched trailer in HBO and HBO Max history.

The “Finding Harry” special airs on Sunday April 5th on HBO and will be available shortly after on HBO Max. The “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” series is set to debut around Christmas.
