Focus Features has picked up the Annette Bening and Andy Samberg rom-com “42.6 Years” from Amazon MGM Studios and will distribute the title domestically while Universal Pictures International will handle overseas. Michael Schwartz (“The Peanut Butter Falcon”) directs.
Seth Reiss (“The Menu”) penned the film that follows Ben (Samberg) who, after an experimental procedure left him cryogenically frozen for 42.6 years, sets out to reconnect with his ex-girlfriend Ruthie (Bening). He hasn’t aged, while she has lived an entire life. [Source: Deadline]
The White Lotus
Heather Graham, Rosie Perez, Ben Schnetzer, Tobias Santelmann, Frida Gustavsson and Laura Smet have all joined the France-set fourth season of Mike White’s HBO dramedy “The White Lotus”. Filming begins in April in Paris and the French Riviera.
The group joins previously announced cast members Chloe Bennet, Sandra Bernhard, Helena Bonham Carter, Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Dylan Ennis, Corentin Fila, Ari Graynor, Max Greenfield, Charlie Hall, Marissa Long, Alexander Ludwig, Chris Messina, AJ Michalka, Kumail Nanjiani, Jarrad Paul and Nadia Tereszkiewicz. Untitled Apple TV Series
After starring with Elle Fanning in “A Sentimental Value,” Stellan Skarsgård will join her sister Dakota Fanning in an untitled Apple TV and Sony Pictures Television series from “A Spy Among Friends” creator and “Homeland” writer/producer Alex Cary.
Fanning plays an undercover Treasury agent in a multi-billion dollar international conglomerate (run by Skarsgård’s character). She becomes conflicted between her mission and a belief that her principal target, the heir apparent to all that corrupt power, is at his core a good man and worthy of her love. [Source: THR
The Housemaid’s Secret
Lionsgate has premiered the very first poster for “The Housemaid’s Secret,” the upcoming sequel to last year’s smash hit thriller “The Housemaid” which has grossed $398 million worldwide off a $35 million budget.
In addition, the distributor has announced a December 17th 2027 release date for the sequel. Sydney Sweeney returns, while Kirsten Dunst has joined the project with further casting to be announced shortly.
