“Heated Rivalry” breakout Hudson Williams and “Send Help” star Dylan O’Brien are set to team-up for Canadian actress/filmmaker Sofia Banzhaf’s indie thriller “Apparatus”.

The story centers on Tyler (Williams), a struggling ride-share driver who believes his fortunes have changed when he encounters JP (O’Brien), a charismatic entrepreneur.

JP lures Tyler in with the promise of a dream opportunity, but the arrangement soon descends into a violent downward spiral, testing Tyler’s limits.

Shooting is slated to begin in Toronto on Monday and run through May 12th. Banzhaf will direct from her own script, with the production set to use various urban settings throughout the city.

The outlet indicates the project is likely targeting a festival circuit launch following post-production. Grayson Moore will produce with Young Daughter Films and Scythia Films behind the project.

Williams will slip this in ahead of shooting the second season of “Heated Rivalry” this Summer. O’Brien is slated to star in David Petrarca’s Marcel Marceau biopic, which is currently in pre-production, and most recently shot Sian Heder’s “Being Heumann”.
