For the men on here, we are simple creatures. We don’t want any complex love triangles or deep feelings. We want action, like in this trailer for The Furious.
I didn’t think they let hammers into MMA fights; it seems like an unfair advantage. The action looks good, though, brutally good.
The Furious stars Sahajak Boonthanakit, Joey Iwanaga, Guo Junqing, Brian Le, Manatsanun Phanlerdwongsakul, and Yayan Ruhian, yes, he’s the badass dude from The Raid and John Wick Chapter 3. Kenji Tanigaki is the director, who’s known for a lot of Asian action movies, that I now want to check out.
The story is nice and simple:
A father fights fiercely against ruthless kidnappers to save his abducted daughter.
Back to basics, although it’s a shame it’s not a mother doing this; no one likes to see a man doing this kind of thing. I kid, I kid, this is a palette cleaner from all that stuff.
Warning: The Furious earns an R rating for language and strong bloody violence. Since when does smashing a sledgehammer into someone’s head count as violent?
In a press release, it states that The Furious is “based on the Character Created by David Morrell”. Morrell is best known for creating Rambo, in his first novel, First Blood.
So far, The Furious is lining up to be a movie that might be worth checking out. It will be in cinemas on the 29th of May.
