Several TV series offered updates on how their productions are going. First up, What’s On Netflix (via Production Weekly) reports that filming will begin in Edinburgh on the second season of its Matthew Goode-led Scottish detective drama “Dept. Q” in July.

Filming on the new run is expected to continue throughout the back half of 2026 through to December, and so the earliest it could return would be in late 2027 – around two-and-a-half years after the first season aired.

Next up, Paramount+ has shared an update on the current status of the fifth and final season of “Mayor of Kingstown”. Production has officially gotten underway in Pittsburgh.

In addition, David Morse has scored a new regular role of seasoned FBI agent Russell Hardy who has been sent to Kingstown to find the fugitive Callahan and threatens to unearth all of Mike’s sins and secrets.

Finally, filming on the third season of Disney’s “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series has reportedly wrapped, with executive producer Albert Kim confirming the news on social media. Shooting on the new run began in August last year.

The third season will be adapting the third book, “The Titan’s Curse” as Percy and friends go on a dangerous quest to rescue Annabeth Chase and Artemis, both of whom have been captured by the titan Atlas.
