Being over 12 years old, I still don’t know how NFT images work. The good thing is, I also don’t know how NFT: Cursed Images work, check out the new indie trailer.
So, it’s the Ring? Instead of a VHS, which would confuse a 12-year-old, it’s seeing NFT images. I like the fact that they are based on some folklore or story, but I doubt we’ll see all 666 of them.
NFT: Cursed Images stars Najarra Townsend, David Wayman, Mariah Nonnemacher, Durassie Kiangangu, Amelie Edwards, and Nobuse Jnr. Jonas Odenheimer is the writer and director, who’s fairly new on the scene. The story is:
A group of crypto savvy friends begin experiencing strange occurrences after buying into a cursed NFT collection.
So NFTs are crypo? Yeah, I’m still clueless. My shares in MySpace have done nothing but plummet, but they should bounce back. From the press release:
Filmed on the streets of London and fresh off a festival run, NFT: Cursed Images debuts on digital platforms March 6, coinciding with a limited theatrical run. The film premiered at the 2024 British Horror Film Festival, where it shocked audiences and swept the awards, winning Best Feature Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and the Rising Star Award.
NFT: Cursed Images stars David Wayman (The Ledge), Mariah Nonnemacher (Terminator: Dark Fate), Durassie Kiangangu, Amelie Edwards, Nobuse Jnr, Jasmine Clark, Charlie Rich, and Najarra Townsend (The Stylist, Dementia: Part II). In addition to writing the script, Odenheimer produced through his Old Jim Productions shingle.
I must say, the imaginary looks pretty good. I like that kind of thing, so I have asked for a screener for review.
NFT: Cursed Images will be streaming on the 6th of March. I wish these productions would spend more than 10 minutes on the posters; it’s the first port of call for the audience.
