Michael
A year ago, reports were that Antoine Fuqua’s “Michael” was coming in at a runtime of over four hours, with Lionsgate intending to potentially split the film into two parts. Now, with the title under two months away, AMC Theatres is reporting that the film’s runtime clocks in at 130 minutes (2hrs 10mins).
The film famously had to rework its third act due to legal issues but how much of it made it into the final version, or is being held back for a potential ‘second part’, is unclear. The film’s marketing is focusing on Jackson’s rise to superstardom in the 1980s and the movie itself opens April 24th. [Source: World of Reel]
Godzilla Minus Zero
IMAX has confirmed in their quarterly earnings call (via Tony Denaro) that the highly anticipated “Godzilla Minus One” follow-up, “Godzilla Minus Zero,” will be coming to IMAX screens worldwide.
The title is currently slated to open in Japan on November 3rd and in the United States (and presumably other countries) on November 6th.
Starfield
Reports from several insiders are now claiming an April 7th release date is being targeted for the PS5 version of Bethesda’s “Starfield,” the title getting a physical release in Europe on that date according to game industry scoopers ‘billbil-kun’ and ‘Graczdari’. [Source: VGC]
Resident Evil Requiem
In just three days since its release, Capcom’s “Resident Evil Requiem” is reportedly pulling in the best user review scores of any game on Metacritic – sitting above “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” with both at a 9.5/10.
‘Requiem’ sits higher, presumably from a higher unrounded average. The game’s Critics’ scores sit between 88-92/100, the title is expected to be a Game of the Year contender. [Source: GameGPU]
