The action thriller 7 Dogs has unveiled its first teaser, revealing a large-scale production positioned as Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious home-grown film since cinemas reopened in 2017.

The $40 million feature is led by Egyptian stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz and brings together regional talent with major international action veterans.

The film follows Interpol agent Khalid Al-Azzazi, who forms an uneasy alliance with Ghali Abu Dawood, a figure tied to the powerful 7 Dogs crime syndicate. Together, they take on a sprawling drug trafficking network, blurring the line between law enforcement and organized crime as loyalties are tested.

Stunt work is handled by the 87Eleven team under coordinator Stephen Dunlevy, known for work on Mad Max: Fury Road and the John Wick franchise. The film is directed by Belgian duo Adil & Bilall, recognized globally for Bad Boys for Life and Bad Boys: Ride or Die.

The story is based on an original concept by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, with a screenplay by Mohamed El-Dabah. The project is sponsored by the General Entertainment Authority and Riyadh Season, produced by Sela, with production services by Black Bear. Ivan Atkinson serves as producer.
