Warner Bros. Discovery’s switch from Netflix to Paramount as its new ‘acquisition daddy’ has led to a surge in talk on social media of the possibility of Zack Snyder’s DC Universe initiative making some sort of comeback.

Well timed for this, Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast has just done a nearly hour-long interview with Snyder himself, focusing entirely on his work on DC films from “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” through to his cut of “Justice League”.

Asked about entertaining the notion of continuing beyond the events of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League,” he says the idea of doing a either a comic book or animated feature has been discussed:

“We’ve absolutely talked about it quite a bit. Yeah, I mean. We live in a world where um all that’s possible and whatever form it would take… you know that would be amazing.”

He adds that he has never discouraged fans from campaigning for his “Justice League” sequels or his Snyderverse, which operates “independently without interfering with James Gunn’s DCU”.

The comments come as “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is about to turn a decade old.
