Fans of both AMC’s “Breaking Bad” and HBO’s “Game of Thrones” are at war – and it’s all to do with which series has the highest-rating episode on IMDb.

For over a decade, since 2013 in fact, the “Breaking Bad” final season episode “Ozymandias” has had a perfect 10/10 score on the movie/TV database – the only television episode to ever land on such a number.

More importantly, it had maintained the score thanks to over 300,000 ratings from users. This week, for the first time, the episode saw a drop to a 9.9 rating due to a recent surge of hundreds of 1/10 ratings, which not only pushed it out of the top spot but all the way down to ninth place.

Rightly or wrongly, this surge of review bombing is being blamed on “Game of Thrones” fans who are eager for the recent fifth episode of spin-off series “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” to take the top spot instead.

That episode has been widely praised by fans, calling it the best episode in the entire ‘Thrones’ franchise to date. Now, a social media ‘war’ has broken out between the two fandoms with each insulting each other.

That recent episode of “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” did briefly hold a 10/10 score on IMDb, but that score has now dropped to a 9.8 and has been pushed out of the Top 10 – leaving the series finale of “Six Feet Under” to hold the top spot at present.

Whether that drop is from legitimate reviews or retaliatory “Breaking Bad” fans isn’t clear. HBO recently revealed that “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” is averaging close to 13 million U.S. viewers per episode in its first season.
