With the “Scary Movie” franchise coming back into play soon, it turns out other films involving at least one of the Wayans may be resurrected as well.

Speaking on the Rap Attack Official podcast, actor Marlon Wayans was asked about his comedy style and how audiences still connect with some of his older films.

The conversation then turned towards the upcoming “Scary Movie 6” which sees the return of much of the core cast and crew that made the original film and its first sequel.

Wayans both stars in and co-wrote the first two films and confirms “we got everybody back” for the new film. He also confirms how it goes at the box-office will have an impact on other potential films: “We going to dig in the crates and bring back some hits… We know how.”

Specifically, follow-ups to 1996’s “Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood” and 2004’s “White Chicks” could be on the way should the new “Scary Movie” do well enough. Wayans co-wrote both of those films as well.

“Scary Movie 6” is set to hit cinemas June 12th with the film’s trailer to release alongside “Scream 7” next Friday.
