Legendary action star Steven Seagal returns to the genre that defined his career, teaming up with martial artist Ron Smoorenburg for the throwback action feature Order of the Dragon.

Framed as a hard-edged nod to classic action cinema, the film leans into the stylized violence and mythic villains that dominated screens in the 1980s and 1990s.

The story follows a ruthless hitman whose latest mission ends in disaster. With his reputation on the line, he is given one final assignment: eliminate the last surviving member of the notorious Order of the Dragon. What begins as a straightforward contract quickly spirals into a deadly confrontation rooted in legacy, loyalty, and unfinished business.

The film is written and directed by Croatian filmmaker Vjekoslav Katusin, who has positioned the project as a deliberate return to old-school action sensibilities. In a recent statement, Katusin said the goal is to revive the energy and visual flair that once defined the genre, blending practical stunts with larger-than-life characters.

Ron Smoorenburg not only stars but also handles fight choreography, ensuring the action remains physical and grounded.

Veteran performers Michel Qissi, Michael Pare, and David Kurzhal round out the cast.

Action direction comes from Dong Hyun Yoon, whose credits include The Matrix Resurrections, Cloud Atlas, and 6 Underground, signaling a blend of classic style with modern technical precision.
