Blumhouse and Warner Bros. Pictures have premiered the full trailer for “Lee Cronin’s The Mummy” opening in cinemas on April 17th.
In the film, the young daughter of a journalist disappears into the desert without a trace – eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she is returned to them, as what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare.
Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, Verónica Falcón, May Calamawy, May Elghety, Natalie Grace, Shylo Molina, Billie Roy, and Hayat Kamille star.
Cronin spoke about the film with IGN a while back, calling it “a mystery, and it’s a puzzle box, which was part of my draw towards it… the movie is coming from a very different place, and it’s not even a reinvention of mummy lore; it’s looking into darker places and doing something different with what we think we might already know.”
Cronin (“Evil Dead Rise”) directs the film, while James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville produce. “Lee Cronin’s The Mummy” will release in cinemas on April 17th.
