Amazon MGM Studios premiered the first trailer for the live-action “Masters of the Universe” movie the other week to much discussion and a pretty positive response – especially to the various Eternia elements.

Now, Mattel and Lead Packaging Designer Manuel Eduardo Caritas has taken to Instagram to share close-up pictures of the packaging art for the upcoming “Masters of the Universe Chronicles,” the toyline with designs directly inspired by the new film.

The promo art offers closer looks at Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man and Idris Elba’s Man-At-Arms, but the biggest reveal is that of a first look at the design of Tri-Klops played by Kojo Attah (“Wrath of Man,” “The Beekeeper”).

The packaging also gives a rough description of the character’s actions in the film:

He-Man: “After uncovering the Power Sword, Prince Adam transforms into He-Man, the Most Powerful Man in the Universe. The Champion of Grayskull returns to Eternia to free his people from the evil clutches of Skeletor (Jared Leto).”

Man-at-Arms: “Just as Eternos fell, so too fell the Commander of the King’s Royal Guard. With the return of He-Man, however, Duncan fights to save Eternia from Skeletor. Alongside the Masters of the Universe, the King’s Man-At-Arms will find the redemption he seeks.”

Tri-Klops: “The brawny brute with three cybernetic eyes serves as the right-hand man of Skeletor . Together with Evil-lyn (Alison Brie), Tri-Klops puts his plan into motion to recover the Sword of Power for his evil master.”

In the film, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam back to Eternia 15 years later, where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor.

To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms, and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe.

James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Charlotte Riley and Kristen Wiig co-star in “Masters of the Universe” which opens in cinemas on June 5th.
