Jackie Chan is gearing up for another family-friendly adventure with Panda Plan: The Magical Tribe, the sequel to his 2024 hit that blended action, comedy, and heart. Produced by Emei Film Group and Maoyan Entertainment, the follow-up aims to expand the scale and imagination of the original while keeping Chan front and center.

The story begins as the beloved giant panda Hu Hu prepares to move into a new panda pavilion. The celebration is cut short when international thieves launch a brazen attack. Jackie’s character leaps into action but is knocked off a cliff during the fight. When he regains consciousness, he finds himself in a mysterious, hidden tribe far removed from the modern world. To make it back to the panda pavilion, Jackie must team up with the tribe and help them overcome a series of unusual and magical challenges.

The original Panda Plan proved to be a strong performer, earning more than ¥261 million yuan, roughly $36.8 million, during its theatrical run in China. That success paved the way for the sequel’s bigger fantasy elements and expanded storyline.

Panda Plan: The Magical Tribe is scheduled for domestic release in China on February 17, 2026.
