Microsoft ran its Xbox Developer Direct presentation today with the big announcement being release date windows for three of its first-party games.
With the company having given up exclusives, all three titles will also release for the PS5 in 2026 though one will hit Xbox Series X|S and PC first.
First up, Playground Games showed off more of the Japan-set “Forza Horizon 6” which will hit Xbox and PC on May 19th and PS5 later in the year.
Once change is the title starts players off as a tourist in Japan, and they have to qualify for the Horizon Festival. Previous entries had you starting out already taking part.
The game will feature more than 550 cars at launch, with more to follow as DLC. The Tokyo setting of the game will be five times larger than anything Playground Games has created before, with distinct districts.
The company’s long-awaited and highly-anticipated comeback of the RPG series “Fable” has finally locked in a Fall 2026 release window for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
Also setting a release window is the team-based multiplayer party brawler “Kiln” which will debut this Spring. That game allows players to craft their own pottery to bring to several mythical battlefields and fight against other players.
One other game was shown – frequent “Pokemon” game developer Game Freak is offering its action-RPG “Beast of Reincarnation” which follows a pair of characters named Emma and Koo on a quest to confront said beast. It will launch on Xbox, PS5 and PC this Summer.
