Amazon Prime Video has released a first look clip from the upcoming Riz Ahmed-led comedy series “Bait” which will premiere all six episodes on March 25th.
Ahmed stars as Shah Latif, a struggling actor who hits his last chance to make a name for himself when he’s given a huge audition.
The series follows him over the course of four wild days as his life spirals out of control and his family, ex-lover and the entire world weigh in on whether he is the right man for the job.
The clip sees his character rumored for the role of James Bond in the British tabloidss, prompting an intense reaction from his family.
Guz Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Sajid Hasan, Aasiya Shah, Weruche Opia, and Ritu Arya co-star in the series written by Ahmed and executive produced by Allie Moore, Jake Fuller, Ben Karlin, and Ahmed.
Bassam Tariq and Tom George serve as directors while Ahmed and Ben Karlin are co-showrunners.
