Sky presents a high-stakes action tv series Prisoner. The six-part series stars Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee Tahar Rahim and Scottish BAFTA winner Izuka Hoyle, and positions itself as a tense manhunt where survival depends on choosing who to trust.

Created and written by Matt Charman, whose credits include Bridge of Spies and Hostage, the series is directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Otto Bathurst of Peaky Blinders.

Prisoner follows Amber, a principled young prison transport officer played by Hoyle, tasked with escorting Tibor, a notorious contract killer portrayed by Rahim, to court. Tibor is a key witness prepared to testify against his powerful crime syndicate.

The mission collapses when their convoy is violently ambushed. Amber and Tibor emerge as the sole survivors, left handcuffed together and forced to flee through hostile territory. With the syndicate hunting them down, the pair must reach their destination alive and on time, relying on an alliance neither of them can fully trust.

As the chase tightens, the series explores moral compromise, responsibility, and the cost of survival.

The supporting cast includes Eddie Marsan, Catherine McCormack, Leonie Benesch, Finn Bennett, Sam Troughton, Laurie Davidson, Ken Nwosu, Brían F. O’Byrne, and Youssef Kerkour.
