Warner Bros. Discovery has announced that this week’s trailer for the third season of HBO’s “Euphoria” pulled in nearly 100 million views in the first 48 hours – the largest original series trailer launch in HBO Max history over that two-day timespan.
To put that in comparison, the trailer for the final season of “Game of Thrones” drew 81 million in 24 hours. More recently, the trailer for the second season of “The Last of Us” drew 158 million views.
“Euphoria” has exploded in popularity since the end of the second season four years ago, as many of its stars – Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Colman Domingo, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Austin Abrams and more – have gone on to bigger things.
The second season finale drew 6.6 million viewers across all HBO platforms and HBO recently confirmed it is one of the most-watched series in the network’s entire history.
The third season is expected to be the show’s last with many of the major players returning for a story set a few years after high school. Zendaya, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Elordi, Sweeney and Schafer all return.
The third and final season of “Euphoria” will debut on April 12th on HBO and HBO Max.
