By Amazon Prime Video has released a very brief teaser trailer for “The Bluff,” a new swashbuckling action thriller feature premiering on the service on February 25th.
The film is set in the late 19th century Caribbean and follows a former female pirate who must protect her family when her past catches up to her.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas stars as said pirate, Ercell Bodden. Karl Urban stars as Captain Connor, a pirate with a deep rooted grudge against her.
Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green, Temuera Morrison, Zack Morris, David Field and Pacharo Mzembe co-star.
Frank E. Flowers (“Swallow”) directs the film which was originally setup at Netflix with Zoe Saldana starring. Shot in Australia back in mid-2024, Zaldana remains an executive producer.
Henry Jackman composed the score for the film which is produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO label.
