Peacock has premiered the first trailer for “The ‘Burbs” mini-series, which premieres February 8th on the streamer.
Inspired by the 1989 horror-comedy film of the same name and set in present-day suburbia, it follows a young couple who have reluctantly relocated to the husband’s childhood home.
Their world is upended when a new neighbour moves in across the street, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighbourhood.
Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, and Kapil Talwalkar star in the eight-episode mystery comedy series.
Celeste Hughey serves as creator, while both she and Rachel Shukert serve as writer and executive producer.
Palmer, Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, Aimee Carlson, Brian Grazer, Kristen Zolner, Natalie Berkus and Nzingha Stewart executive produce.
