Filming on Marvel Studios’ “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” ended a while back with post-production currently in full swing.

Even so, two new names have seemingly emerged in reports today as potential co-stars in the film.

First up, scooper DanielRPK reports that “Ahsoka” star Eman Esfandi may have been cast as the boyfriend of MJ (Zendaya) in the movie. Filming on the second season of that series was taking place in the UK at the same time the new “Spider-Man” was shooting.

What role Esfandi, who played the adult Ezra Bridger in “Ahsoka,” is playing is a big question. Harry Osborn has been suggested as a character who will appear, but there’s been no confirmation of that.

Meanwhile, scooper Cryptic4KQual (via CBM) has reported that Billy Clements (“Deadpool & Wolverine”) will make a very brief appearance in the film as villain Ramrod – potentially during a montage sequence.

Clements’ role in ‘Deadpool’ had no speaking lines – just briefly appearing in action scenes. Clements has worked with the stunt teams of several MCU projects.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is expected to involve multiple villains. Destin Daniel Cretton helms the film, which opens in July.
