One of the problems with the internet these days is that “everything is AI”. Either it is AI slop, or it gets decried as AI slop by 50% of the people online. It has been that way with the teasers for Avengers: Doomsday so far. Every single leaked bootleg was loudly tagged as AI, only to turn out to be real.

Steve Rogers holding a baby. Thor taking a forest walk. “AI as f*ck!” was the cry… until they appeared in theaters and made people feel a bit silly.

With this third one, the X-Men-centric teaser, it was exactly the same. Once again, it seems that those who claim superior AI detection capabilities were wrong. The bootleg of the third teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday has leaked online, and it is now considered to be legit.

It is, as rumored, all about the X-Men. The camera moves through the largely empty X-Men mansion as Sir Ian McKellen’s Magneto provides a voice-over:

“Death comes for us all, that’s all I know for sure. The question isn’t are you prepared to die, the question is who will you be when you close your eyes?”

A chessboard is seen with a piece moving by itself, Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto sit across the board and grasp each other’s hands as they smile. Magneto has longer than usual grey hair and a straggly beard.

We can’t link it here, as bootleg versions are disappearing as quickly as they appear, but you have probably already found it online.

The closing shot is James Marsden’s Scott Summers/Cyclops, in the classic blue-and-yellow X-Men outfit. There is a Sentinel in the background as he rips off his visor.

Elsewhere, GQ magazine interviewed Tom Hiddleston for The Night Manager season 2, and he was asked about Loki returning for Avengers: Doomsday.

He confirmed, saying only that his:

“…contribution has been contributed…”

He went on to say:

“It is monumental. The centre of the story is absolutely brilliant, and was so surprising when I read it. It just has never been done before.”

At the climax of the last season of Loki, his character was left in the Citadel at the End of Time as the focal point, pulling together all of the strands of the multiverse. As Doomsday is said to end the Multiverse Saga, it is widely accepted he will have to play a key part in events.

Avengers: Doomsday is released on December 18th 2026.
