Amazon Prime Video have released the teaser trailer for filmmaker Guy Ritchie’s new series “Young Sherlock” starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes.

Inspired by Andy Lane’s novels, this reimagines Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famed detective. In 1870s Oxford, Holmes is disgraced, raw, unfiltered, and unformed, when he finds himself caught up in a murder mystery at Oxford University, which threatens his freedom.

Diving into his first-ever case with a wild lack of discipline, he manages to unravel a globe-trotting conspiracy that will change his life forever and set him on a course to become Baker Street’s most renowned resident.

Also starring are Dónal Finn as James Moriarty, Zine Tseng as Princess Gulun Shou’an, Joseph Fiennes as Silas Holmes, Natascha McElhone as Cordelia Holmes, Max Irons as Mycroft Holmes, and Colin Firth as Sir Bucephalus Hodge.

Showrunner Matthew Parkhill writes and executive-produces the TV show alongside Ritchie, Dhana Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, and Colin Wilson.

Ritchie, who directed the two Robert Downey Jr.-led “Sherlock Holmes” films, is also a director on the show, which will release on Prime Video on March 4th with all eight episodes premiering at once.
