Love it, loathe it. Run from it. Hide from it. The Wicked sequel was as inevitable as your first dump of the day. The first movie adapted only the first half of the stage play that completely captured an entire generation of Western women, while still avoiding the topics of accountability and consequences.

So now the second half of the story must be told, and you may well have to suffer through it all over again. The final trailer for Wicked: For Good has dropped, and now you can glimpse the unspeakable terrors within.

Both films were shot back-to-back, but this half of the story is set years after the events of the last instalment.

Elphaba and Glinda are estranged, with Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) living in exile and feared as The Wicked Witch of the West. She remains committed to freeing Oz’s silenced animals and exposing the truth about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum).

Glinda is a celebrity and a symbol, living at the palace in Emerald City and guided by Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) to comfort Oz and make them believe that all is well under the rule of The Wizard.

Glinda is betrothed to Prince Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) and as the wedding approaches, she attempts a conciliation between Elphaba and The Wizard. Things go wrong, and a series of events is set in motion that will transform the fate of Oz forever, as a girl from Kansas comes crashing into Oz.

Wicked: For Good opens in movie theaters on November 12th.

Probably needs more machine guns and explosions.
