Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are back together on the big… hold up… small screen. The Joe Carnahan-directed crime thriller The Rip is coming to Netflix, and the first trailer just landed.
Upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house, trust among a team of Miami cops begins to fray. As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, everything is called into question – including who they can rely on.
Steven Yeun, Sasha Calle, Teyana Taylor, Nestor Carbonell, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Kyle Chandler, Scott Adkins and Lina Esco co-star in the film. Carnahan also penned the script, which Affleck, Damon, Luciana Damon, and Dani Bernfeld produce through their Artists Equity label.
Dirty, grimy Miami, potentially corrupt cops, betrayal, gunfights, what is not to like? This feels like home territory for Carnahan after earlier projects like Narc.
The Rip is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on January 16th, 2026.
