The newest of The Conjuring movies, The Last Rights, is the last in the series. However, as we all know, if a movie is making money, they will never stop.
At the moment of writing, The Conjuring: The Last Rights, is the 3rd highest grossing horror movie of 2025. We all know that’s a low bar, but it has crossed the $200 million mark worldwide.
Well, this might be the last movie, but HBO Max is looking at developing a TV series. The series will be set in the Conjuring Universe, so it may not follow the exploits of Ed and Lorraine Warren, who are played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga in the movies.
Not much is known about the plot, but James Wan will produce, via Atomic Monster. The showrunners have been confirmed as Nancy Won, Peter Cameron, and Cameron Squires. Won is known for writing series like Sunny, Tiny Beautiful Things, and Netflix’s Jessica Jones.
Squires and Cameron will co-write and are known for Agatha All Along and WondaVision. #UhOh
The Conjuring movies have followed the real-life events of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they face terrifying supernatural forces. Each of the movies has seen cases of hauntings, curses, and demonic possessions.
The Conjuring Universe is already a thing; it includes movies like Annabella and The Nun. We’ll keep you updated as more unfolds about the series.
