The Best Wrestler Turned Actor

Spoiler alert, but wrestling isn’t real; most of wrestling is acting. I’m sorry if I burst some people’s bubbles, but it had to be said. Good news, though, Santa Claus is still real. #Phew

An article popped up the other day from The Hollywood Reporter. It claimed that Dave Bautista was the ‘best wrestler-turned-actor’.

Now, this was only out of three people, Bautista, John Cena and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. This was a little unfair, as there should be a lot more names in that list.

I would say those three above are the top three of wrestlers-turned-actors. However, there are some huge names that also spring to mind: ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper, Jesse Ventura, Andre the Giant, Steve Austin, Kevin Nash, Randy Savage, and the late, great Hulk Hogan.

There are more names you can probably think of, but most of them are people who have only done a few movies. When you think of Bautista, Cena or Johnson, they all now have an impressive list of movies they’ve made.

So, as a midweek poll, out of those three, which one is the best? I like how it wasn’t based on box office numbers, but on who they think is the best.
