Cold Storage continues Liam Neeson’s journey into comedy. This time he visits the horror/comedy genre.
The premise for Cold Storage is thus:
A team tries to stop the spread of a deadly fungus.
The trailer gives a vibe that crosses The Last of Us with Cooties or Black Friday.
Neeson is currently in theaters with The Naked Gun reboot, which is getting some love as a throwback to the brainless comedies of yesteryear. It’s not setting the box office on fire, bringing in about $30 million so far, but apparently that is within projections, and it only had a budget of $30 million. Yep, 2025 may very well be the year of the Neeson…
Who Else Is Involved?
What’s interesting is that Cold Storage is based on a novel written by the fourth most successful screenwriter of all time, David Koepp. Koepp has penned the scripts for such films as Jurassic Park, Spider-Man and the two best Indiana Jones films, Crystal Skull and Dial of Destiny.*
The film is directed by Jonny Campbell, who is British. Maybe Stark or Boba Phil have had tea with him while talking about cricket. As for me, I am not familiar with his work.
Co-stars of Cold Storage include Georgina Campbell, Sosie Bacon, Sosie Bacon’s mole, and even Vanessa Redgrave. Joe Keery also appears. It looks like Keery finally settled on a hairstyle that softens the corners of his square face and makes him look less Lego than normal. Good on him.
