Tom Holland has been out and about on the streets of New York. Well, it’s not actually New York, but Glasgow in Scotland, which is where the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day is being filmed. At first, Sony released a teaser for filming, which also showed his new Spider-Man suit. Well, those toys aren’t going to sell themselves.
There have been a few clips and photos on Twitter, which do look very cool.
It’s also very cool that Holland took out the time to take photos with fans.
I know Glasgow quite well, and it’s been the backdrop for New York before, in the last Indiana Jones movie. Store fronts and street signs have been changed to mimic Lower Manhattan. There has also been seen damaged taxis and NYPD cruisers.
This new Spider-Man: Brand New Day will take place after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where everyone’s memory was erased. Destin Daniel Cretton is directing this new instalment, taking over from Jon Watts.

Confirmed cast, at the moment, is Holland, Jon Bernthal, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Liza Colon-Zayas, and Jacob Batalon. Surprise entries are Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher.
We’re going to have to wait until the 31st of July 2026 to see Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
