This is good news for those planning to get a Switch 2.
This version of the game will leverage the new Nintendo Switch 2 features GameShare and GameChat for the ultimate co-op experience:
GameShare will allow players to play together over a local wireless connection with just one copy of the game! Furthermore, Nintendo Switch 2 owners can also share Split Fiction with original Nintendo Switch users, allowing them to play together over a local wireless connection.
GameChat will enable players to chat live using the console’s built-in microphone and share video live with friends via supported USB cameras. The camera image will appear on the player indicator UI within the game.
More information can be found on the EA blog, along with a Creator’s Voice interview between Nintendo and Hazelight Studios Founder Josef Fares and COO Oskar Wolontis discussing their experience bringing Split Fiction to the Nintendo Switch 2.
Split Fiction is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and the EA app for $49.99. Players can also invite a friend to play with them for free on any platform (including across two different platforms) via the Friend’s Pass.
