Marvel Studios’ “Daredevil: Born Again” is about to close out its first season run next week, the series having just released its eighth episode with one more to go.

As previously indicated, showrunner Dario Scardapane and directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead came in as part of the show’s creative retooling after six full episodes had been shot.

A new pilot was crafted while new scenes were filmed and added to the already shot second through seventh episodes. This week’s eighth and next week’s ninth episodes are crafted entirely by the new team which will also be handling the second season.

Ahead of the finale, Benson and Moorhead are teasing what to expect and tell TV Line that the season finale will contain what is, by far, the most violent moment of the season and any MCU work to date:

“There is a moment in the finale that is extraordinarily shocking on a practical effects level, and is very, very, very violent – but also, as filmmakers, incredibly exciting. You’ll know what I’m talking about [when you see it], and I can’t wait for people to understand why there’s a gleam in my eye [right now].”

Moorhead adds: “[The finale] is so brutally tragic…. A bonanza of bonkers visuals.” The episode will be titled “Straight To Hell” and will include a flashback to a key event – offering a different perspective.

The “Daredevil: Born Again” finale is set to air on April 15th.
