We were warned that there was still quite a bit more of the Avengers cast to be revealed. Now a lawyer appears to have accidentally confirmed that British actress Hayley Atwell will be back in both upcoming movies.

How was this revealed by a lawyer? Well, The Hollywood Reporter ran a feature piece on high-profile Hollywood law firms and it included in the profile a mention of Ziffren Brittenham, where it referred to the firm managing:

“Hayley Atwell’s deal to star in Marvel’s Avengers 5 and 6”.

So Hayley and her tremendous Atwells will be appearing, and we have the lawyers to thank. Will wonders never cease?

Atwell has been a reliable player in the MCU, with her role of Peggy Carter managing to anchor several generations and timeframes across the timeline hopping madness of the movies. From Captain America movies and two Avengers films, including a surprisingly emotional final scene for Steve Rogers, she also appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Ant-Man, and a What If? episode.

This is before we even get to Agent Carter, which many fans believe was canceled way before its time and was an unfair victim of televisual MCU taking a while to work its shit out.

Atwell, who seems tailor-made for live-action Lara Croft, will be voicing her for the animated Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. She will also be back in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning this year.

Avengers: Doomsday is spinning up now in the UK.
