While covering CinemaCon I was invited to visit the John Wick Experience during a break between presentations.
After a short shuttle ride to Area 15, I passed by vehicles from the film and entered the lobby of the Las Vegas branch of The Continental.
After check in, I enjoyed food and drinks in the well-decorated bar as we waited for our group to be called.
Once in our elevator, our guide gave us the rules of the Continental and we soon found ourselves in thr Operator room where we were given new hire orientation by our sassy supervisor and soon found that contracts had been issued for us and who had the highest bounty.
Using a Pneumatic Tube to deliver a message, I was able to crack the code and use an older computer to open the next area which had us talking to the manager.
We were addressed at various points by name and told that due to our past associations with Mr. Wick; we have fallen out of favor and have one hour to leave town but would be given some help in the process.
This was followed by a smarmy and hysterical games dealer who took many in our group to task with his biting wit. We also had a Cartography Room to solve the puzzle and I was able to assist the group in solving the geographic puzzle.
A costumer and weapons room followed and that included a laser puzzle room before we went to the range. Using pistols we had to dispatch waves of enemies and I was happy to see an 87% accuracy for myself as 45% was the second highest. Be prepared as fatigue can set in during the later waves as it is intense and fast.
The next escape involved me posing with another as a Street Person while the rest of the group hid in a van or alley area.
This all combined for a rousing finale of smoke, sound, and light before we entered the lounge and gift shop.
The details were amazing and the look and performances by the staff were first-rate. Tickets and more details can be found here.
