Marvel Studios has unveiled a new TV spot for their “Thunderbolts” film, the thirty second clip putting the focus on the film’s villain Sentry in his ‘The Void’ form.
Though kept in shadow, the clip showcases the character dubbed ‘more powerful than all the Avengers rolled into one’ and is briefly seen raising his hand at civilians and instantly turning them into dark ashes on the sidewalk.
Shot in Atlanta, Utah and New York, the movie sees the team-up of some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s anti-heroes and villains as they go on missions for the government.
That team includes Stan’s Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.
Also onboard are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Geraldine Viswanathan as Valentina’s assistant, Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster, Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff and Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry.
The film is being directed by Jake Schreier, with a script from Joanna Calo, Lee Sung Jin, and Eric Pearson. Marvel’s “Thunderbolts*” is set to open in cinemas on May 2nd 2025.
