Sony Pictures has finally unveiled the first poster for its revival of the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” teen slasher franchise which opens this Summer.
The legacy sequel picks up many years later with both Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt reprising their respective roles as Ray Bronson and Julie James.
Joining them will be Jonah Hauer-King, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Chase Sui Wonders, Tyriq Withers, Lola Tung, Austin Nichols, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Gabbriette.
A new official synopsis has also been released today and reads as follows:
“When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences.
A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge.
As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.”
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson directs from a screenplay she co-wrote with Sam Lansky, Jeff Howard, and Leah McKendrick. Neal Moritz produces.
The new “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is currently slated to arrive in cinemas on July 18th 2025.
