By Oscar winner Renée Zellweger has joined the cast of Hulu’s hit series “Only Murders in the Building” for its upcoming fifth season.
Filming began this week in New York with series leads Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez returning alongside fellow retunree Michael Cyril Creighton and new to the series Christoph Waltz and Keegan-Michael Key.
Details about the storylines and new characters are being kept under wraps, though the death of the Arconia’s footman Lester in the finale of last season will likely tie into things.
Zellweger was most recently in “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” the fourth and final installment of that franchise which grossed over $120 million worldwide and pulled in the best reviews of the four.
“Only Murders” meanwhile is coming off last month’s win of a SAG Award for Comedy Series Ensemble along with Martin Short also winning for Male Actor in a Comedy Series.
Zellweger is also serving as executive producer on the upcoming Apple TV+ thriller series “Raising Wild” starring Cynthia Erivo.
